Great Idea for 40th Birthday Cards

Perhaps you are one of those who have never been so concern with birthday themes and ideas. May be you think that there is nothing special with your 40th birthday party invitation ideas. You may think it was just another year. It also happened to me. I asked why should 40 be any different from 39? I just planned for my 40th birthday cards to send out a plain and boring card as usual. People want to come just because I invited them or because they wanted to see me.

I had a little bit of a crisis several weeks before my birthday party. I found that every year seemed to be the same to me. There was nothing special every birthday party for me. There was not any different. I just realized that I was getting older and older. Finally I decided that this was the time to stop it. Then I planned the most sensational 40th birthday cards ever seen. I tried to choose an exciting 40th birthday party theme and make it work.

I hope hearing my attitude towards celebrations will not be surprising you. I am a graphic designer who loves any kinds of art and design. The problem is that I seldom apply it to my own life. I planned to make this year different from any previous years. I made bright, colorful, and exciting card for my 40th birthday cards. I chose different theme, it was not about the past anymore but the future. Frankly, I am a big science fiction fan, so in my 40th birthday card, I invited everyone to a sci-fi movie night with the theme “the party of the future”. Although my 40th birthday cards were a little bit cheesy, but I found them pretty cool as well.

My 40th birthday party went off without a hitch. Some of my friends were just humoring me, but some others were sincerely excited about it. My fellow sci-fi geeks, in particular, loved the 40th birthday cards. One of them even kept his to put up on the mantelpiece. We drank whiskey and soda pop, and ate cheese puffs all night while watching the War of the Worlds, the Dawn of the Dead, and other science fiction and horror classics. It certainly was a night to remember!
